I’ve been preparing a solo presentation for the 2010 Big Ideas Fest in Half Moon Bay, California, hosted by ISKME–The Institute For the Study of Knowledge Management in Education. Creative thinkers and innovators will gather next month in Half Moon Bay to brainstorm and implement progressive ideas in education at the Big Ideas Fest.
Since Horace Mann introduced the common school in the early 19th century, the United States has been no stranger to big ideas in education. In the last century, the introduction of the GI Bill and the creation of community colleges expanded access to higher education and helped fuel a century of economic growth and prosperity. (more…)
