Last month, OER research got some serious air time. I attended a convening of researchers, school district leaders, state departments of education, and funders at the National Science Foundation in Washington, D.C. to shine a light on where OER research has been and where it’s headed.

Last month, my colleagues — ISKME CEO, Lisa Petrides, Director of Research and Learning, Cynthia Jimes, and Librarian, Letha Goger — published an article on The Role of “Open” in Strategic Library Planning, in the Education Policy Analysis Archives, which explores the digital opportunities available to libraries through open access research and open educational resources (OER).
ISKME’s “Teachers Advancing Common Core Learning” project addresses teacher isolation by building networks of collaborators.
The project is part of the Teacher Practice Networks Initiative, supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
