For the OER World Map Project, ISKME built a proof of concept for an interactive, scalable map to enable diverse stakeholders—educators, learners, policymakers, researchers, and funders—in identifying and accessing OER and providers in alignment with their needs and interests.

Launched in July 2014, Teachers Advancing Common Core Learning (TACCL) was an 18-month project facilitated by ISKME, and supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Teacher Practice Networks Initiative. TACCL provides training and resources to support teachers in creating cross-disciplinary lessons that focus on students’ close reading and inquiry-based learning skills.
ISKME is pushing the boundaries of learning innovation at Big Ideas Fest by joining forces with GoPro, the world’s leading activity image capture company, in order to inspire creativity inside and outside the classroom using GoPro cameras.
It’s 2014, and we have come a long way since the launch of the OER movement – from small beginnings to significant inroads among educators, learners, advocates and policymakers. Together we are changing the way teachers and learners access and use educational resources, offering new ways for schools, universities, and informal learners to use data and creating tools that improve student learning.
